Felicia, thank you for this uncensored look into the reality of MFA programs. Last year, I was seriously considering the MFA path. I ultimately decided not to pursue it, and instead joined online writing classes, workshops, and mentorship programs. That ended up being a much better solution for me, and I so appreciate your validation of semi-non traditional paths like mine to a writing career. Thank you for sharing your story!
